Rock Ryan Gosling’s look with Palladium Boots

It’s easy to imagine Ryan Gosling’s standard uniform: fitted t-shirt, loose fit jeans, scuffed boots and a pair of shades. A simple look to copy, but, these basics aren’t from the Gap. The cotton t-shirt is probably from Italy, the denim from a Japanese mill, and the shades from Denmark – all pricey. Boots? While they can’t make every guy look like The Gos, they can be affordable. Just ask the folks from Palladium.

For those not in the know, Palladium was founded in 1920 to make aircraft tires for the aviation industry. After the end of WWII, they began making boots that were as hard wearing as their tires and became outfitters of the legendary French Foreign Legion with their classic canvas Pampa boot.

For FW/13, they’ll offering with new collections and material updates. The Winter Sport Collection (three distinct uppers of varying warmths) are designed for city terrain and cold temperatures. For those who like a shock of color during the snowy season, the Mono Chrome Baggy line features tonal uppers, soles, lacing and logo detailing. Offered in the Pampa and Baggy silhouettes, the Burnished Leather Collection has a vintage feel. The new Engineer Collection combines premium leathers, high cuts and buckle detailing. And the launch of the Pampa Hi Cuff provides superior durability with a 40-oz. military canvas exterior, padded leather cuff and logo tabs.

But it’s not all about the guy. Women also have a chance to slip into something a little more comfortable. The Women’s Slim Collection comes with new colors and materials while borrowing design cues from Palladium’s core styles, such as the rubber toe cap and outsole pattern.

While not everyone can look like Ryan Gosling, chances are they can at least try to dress like him.
